As September changes to October,

And October slides into November,
Summer becomes Autumn,
And the blue sky turns gray.

As the trees, once heavy with leaves,
Shed a rainbow of assorted colors,
The multicolored ground is beautiful,
But the trees start to freeze.

The chirping of the birds grows
quieter and quieter every day,
As they leave our city,
To go south to a warmer land.

The sun, once shining so bright in the blue sky,
Gets taken over by the clouds,
Hidden and silenced,
The sky turns gray.

Despite all these changes,
And the rain washing outdoor activities away,
I don’t feel any less happy,
Because autumn is still beautiful.
